Description
Nox Sensor- Cummins ISX Inlet- Replaces 2872944, 4326870 (Roadwarrior NOX-CXX-007)
Replace Your Cummins Inlet NOx Sensor 4326870!
NOX-CXX-007 is a precise-fit replacement for Cummins NOx sensors with part numbers 4326870 and 3687930! The Roadwarrior aftermarket catalogue includes exact-fit replacements for eight Cummins NOx sensor models. Our NOx sensors are thoroughly tested before being released to make sure they’re compatible with Cummins ISX engines. Our testing also ensures that our replacement parts match the performance standards of the inlet Cummins NOx sensor they’re replacing!
What is a Cummins NOx Sensor?
Cummins engines have 1 NOx sensor on either side of the SCR to measure NOx in the exhaust! The inlet/ upstream sensor monitors NOx levels before the SCR, so the ECU knows how much DEF to inject. The outlet/ downstream NOx sensor registers the NOx levels in the exhaust after it passes through the SCR. The ECU uses this comparative data to ensure the SCR is working and is receiving enough DEF. This helps the SCR catalyst reduce toxic nitrogen oxide particles in your semitruck’s exhaust gas!
Why Choose Roadwarrior NOx Sensors?
Many drivers are hesitant about trying aftermarket Cummins NOx sensors. This can be due to stories they’ve heard from other OTR drivers or their own experiences. Aftermarket standards vary considerably between suppliers, so we understand this. With a Roadwarrior sensor you can enjoy the lower prices and shorter wait times of an aftermarket part, with the reliability of an OEM!
What Are the Most Common Cummins NOx Sensor Problems?
Cummins NOx sensors are extremely sensitive sensors that measure microscopic fluctuations in the NOx particles in your exhaust. However, this unfortunately means that they are quite delicate, and a small amount of damage or contamination can cause malfunctions. Soot contamination from other areas of the aftertreatment system is actually one of the most common problems with 4326870 and 3687930 Cummins NOx sensors. If the sensor gets clogged with soot it’ll give inaccurate readings, which can mean too much or too little DEF getting injected into the exhaust.
Your 4326870 Cummins inlet NOx sensor is also highly susceptible to moisture contamination! This includes moisture during installation and from the exhaust running through the SCR. The contamination risk is one of the reasons we’d recommend having your NOx sensor professionally installed, rather than installing it yourself. If you get a faulty replacement sensor, professional installation also makes it easier to show that the fault occurred during manufacture not installation!
